Today, my youngest turns four. A milestone, I know. Since all of my babies are rescues, the only birthdate I'm for sure about is Sampson (he was rescued from my parents house, from their female's first litter). So while Scooter and Quinn(my cat) have to make do with 'floating' birthday which always fall on different days each year, Sampson gets the same day, over and over again.
Today! And, he's four...or twenty-eight if we're counting in dog years. So, here's a little picture parade, cataloguing his growth over the years!

Two weeks old! Sampson(left) & his sister Nickels (who my parents kept from that litter on right) |
|
Eight weeks! We'd only just gotten home from the old folks house (an eight hour drive. Whew!) |
|
1st Birthday. Notice the already nearly disintergrated rope bone behind him? yep, he just got it. |
|
Christmas at Two years old. Boy did he get big! |
|
Christmas 2010; reuniting with his sister Nickels (right) and of course, my boy is on the left. |
Well, that's it. I tried getting a picture of him and Scooter this morning, celebrating this milestone, but they both got distracted by a bunny rabbit hopping through my backyard. Suffice it to say, chaos ensued. My dogs and their penchant for chasing down wildlife.
sampson is one large dog, not to mention very dangerous looking.
ReplyDeletehappy bday, pup!
Aw. Sampson looks like a sweetie-pie. Happy Birthday, boy! :)
ReplyDeleteAbby: he may be big and scary looking, but he's a pussycat. seriously, when we see someone on our nightly walks, he hides BEHIND me.
ReplyDeleteLinda: He is a big baby.
