A Busy Week...

So, the parental units left Karla-land yesterday.  About five hours after they pulled away, they called to tell me that they'd forgotten a couple of things.  My response: Good.  Turn around and come back.  I have some more things that need to be done around here.  Suffice it to say, they did not capitulate to my demands.

What did we do while the parentals were in residence, you ask?

Because I'm a giver, I shall give you my answer in pictures.  I know.  I know.  You're welcome :)

After hours upon hours and countless stores visited, we FINALLY found a dress (complete with shoes, jewels, and clutch) for me to wear to a friend's wedding this weekend.  Thank-freaking-god that got done or I'd be going there nekkid

Putting up a tile backsplash wasn't as difficult as I first thought it'd be.  The real fun came when my dad hung the medicine cabinet and drilled a hole right into the hot water line. Talk about a party!

My first time making strawberry jam.  The mother left me alone at a crucial moment and of course, pandemonium ensued.
Lookit what came in the mail while the parentals were distracting me. I only just went thru the backlog of mail after they left.  But, yay! ARC season is upon us!

Karla returned to the dark side.  This is very, very close to my natural hair color, that is BEFORE I moved to the  Seventh Circle of Hell, which has slowly been bleaching my hair and my brains for the past decade.  Not so sure I can pull off such a dark color anymore, natural hair color or not...
What about all you lovelies?  What have you been doing with yourselves while I've been AWOL?  Do share.

  1. LOVE your dress, you gorgeous skinny bitch, you! I like the hair color, too--I don't think it's too dark for you at all.

And I'm glad I wasn't around when the hole was drilled into the hot water line. Though I bet I might have have learned some new words...

  2. I wish I had been there to see your face when he hit the hot water line. I bet it was priceless. Now be sure to give your folks my address as I have a few things I need to get done around the house too. Plus I have always wanted to learn how to can.
