"It sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays." This is quite possibly my most quoted line from any movie I've seen. That's not to say that I don't love to throw out little snippets like "You can't handle the truth!" or "You're killing me, Smalls." every once in a while. But, damned near every Monday, I am saying those words...mostly to myself. Aw, well. That's life.
Anyway, I have spent most of the day wading through the endless stream of crap that hits my desk every Monday, reading my beta's first chapter of her new book, and trying to continue work on my own WIP.
My problem? A new idea popped into my head last week while Broken's characters were on strike and those awful little gremlins won't leave me in peace to finish the novel that has been bleeding me dry for the last couple months! I am in the home stretch. I can feel it, and these new characters and their strange little world has taken me captive! ARG! The things we writers go through on a semi-regular basis!
Ahhhhh! So, I think that rant has run it's course...hopefully! Tomorrow is Teaser Tuesday...so I'll be back then (minus the rants...I hope).
Oh, sidenote! In case any of you were keeping track on the list of goals I had set for 2010, I am happy to report that this weekend, I attatined the Champion level on my Wii Fit Ski Jump! Yes, that's right! I scored two...count em TWO jumps of 191 meters and 196 meters! You can say it. I am the WO-Man!!!
